SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - A Springfield ambulance has been hit by gunfire while responding to a medical call. Police Lt. Henry Gagnon tells the Springfield Republican (http://bit.ly/1eBWH6t ) that officers and the ambulance crew were at a call on State Street near Hancock Street at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday, when a man came running toward them saying he was being robbed.
